Wind Drawings
This diptych was selected from a on-going series of drawings initiated by the wind. The drawings begin by tracing shadows in various forest locations. As the wind scatters the elusive contours of vegetation across the paper I frantically try to follow their movement. And yet, my efforts are futile—the forms are never completed in their entirety. Color somehow mitigates the confusion still their restlessness remains.
The third work is an oil painting using the same process. The last painting began the same way but took a different tack in the process of making.
